Loud Rage Music proudly presents the upcoming album from the mysterious Bucharest, Romania-based Symphonic Gothic Doom Metal ensemble GREEN EYES OF DARKNESS. Comprising 13 extensive tracks and running for nearly 80 minutes, "Fire Waves" is the result of several decades of creation, featuring compositions that trace their origins back to the '90s. This makes it a deeply personal and highly significant release for the Romanian Metal scene.

About GREEN EYES OF DARKNESS:

Doom Gothic Symphonic metal project, founded by two resilient metal veterans from Romania. Originally conceived by guitarist Dragoș Grigorescu (Abigail, Hovercraft, Serenity), the project truly began to take shape when his lifelong friends, bassist Cătălin "Flamă" Scânteie (Abigail, Rising Shadow, Hatemode) and vocalist Georgiana Bogdana Stoian (Vârf Carpatin) joined the lineup, bringing their full passion, dedication and creativity into the mix.

Today, Green Eyes of Darkness stands an open lineup project, that thrives on collaboration with talented artists from diverse backgrounds. Among those who have contributed to its evolving sound are: Alex Igor (vocals), Claudia Deleanu (vocals), Ștefania Ionescu (flute, vocals), Alina Rotaru (church organ), Alex Gomez (drums), Nunu Răcriș (drums) and others.

Their first release, Fire Waves, is the culmination of nearly five years of persistence and transformation and it gathers the most defining compositions created by Dragoș and Cătălin across distinct creative periods and recorded in different settings. Some of these songs had never been heard before, remaining as unfinished sketches, waiting for their time to come to life. Others were played live a few times in the late '90s, but never recorded, while some early recordings were bound to the technical limitations of their time. 

At its core, the symbolism of Fire Waves reflects the eternal conflict between creation and destruction. Waves rise and fall, collide and dissolve, but the sea beneath always remains calm and intact, untouched by the surface unrest. Same for the fire, it can kill, or ignite life, it can destroy or purify, but its deeper essence always transcends the momentary material transformation. The same philosophy defines the Green Eyes of Darkness project, their music defies patterns, refuses to follow formulas and fleeting trends. It is not crafted to be pleasant or easily understandable, but it is meant to endure, to transform and to leave a lasting impression on those who truly listen to unveil its inner truth, hard to perceive in a superficial approach.
